Great to carry two extra bottles. Along with the two cages on my frame, this allows me to have plenty of energy/electrolyte solution, backup drinking water, and still have room for a bottle of plain water to squirt on my head and shirt for those hotter days.
Obvious tradeoffs (for me) include: having to find another place for my bike bag with spare tubes, tools, etc. as well as having to remove my rear/red taillight. Not enough room for anything but the bottle cage under the seat and I have a pretty long extension of my seat tube. I use top tube bag for my kit and sundries and am still looking for a replacement taillight as I often ride in the early morning and want to be seen by sleepy drivers.
I give it 5 stars since I expected these tradeoffs and the product does exactly what I expected it to do.

I ride between 50-80 miles on an average weekend day and here in NC even if I leave between 7-8 it gets HOT in the summer. I have been stuck without liquids too many times too far from a convenience store, and I finally said, "no more". This rack is fantastic -- I got lucky and positioned it just right on the seat post but was prepared to adjust it up and down as necessary. The only very minor downside is that to install and remove it, you have to slide it over the seat post which requires removing it, which on my bike is not a simple feat and always makes me nervous about getting the height right when I replace it.

My bike has only one bottle mount, so I was forced to carry water on my back, especially on long, unsupported rides. This bottle carrier is great for getting at least some of it out of the pack and onto the bike. I was pleaseantly surprised to find that my seat pack still fits snugly between the bottles! The mount is super secure and doesn't twist out of position even when I fail to lift my leg sufficiently high when getting on the bike and catch the top of the bottles. One recommendation I would make is to check all hardware, especially the blind screws hiding behing the cages. Mine were quite loose when the product arrived. My brother in law saw mine on a recent visit, and his is already in the mail on the way to his house. He couldn't even wait to get home before he ordered one for himself. (P.S.--The cages do touch the backs of my legs when I'm stretching or have a leg locked in a straight position, but this doesn't affect riding at all.)
