Gravity Dropper Turbo Adjustable Seatpost with Handlebar mounted switch Want to descend faster and with more control? The single best way is to lower your seat. You will feel an immediate change in the way your bike handles. Lowering your center of gravity means better balance, more control, and more confidence, which gives you the ability to go faster. Ride sections you\'ve only walked before...Maintain speed in sections you\'ve backed off in the past...Extra safety on downhill and tactical sections. When raised, the Gravity Dropper Seatpost provides the most efficient position for climbing and all level terrain. To deliver maximum power to the pedals, you must have your seat in a raised position. Many bikers compromise their seat height for more technical riding. For example (keeping seat height of road bike higher than their mountain bike). With GravityDropper, there is no compromise. Seat High for power and climbing. Seat low for descending. With GravityDropper, it takes a fraction of a second to raise or lower your seat. Approach the descent, push the switch on your handlebar, and sit on the seat. Your seat is now locked four inches lower. To raise, push the switch and sit up. There is a cable that goes from the unit on the post to your handlebar. The Gravity Dropper\'s Patent Pending design is mechanical. There are no seals to blow and no oil to leak. It is an enclosed unit which minimizes dirt and mud entering. I ride alot of XC and some All Mountain/Downhill. This seat post is great for the downhill. It definetly improved my riding. I owuld recommend this to anyone that rides any trails with downhills. I rated it 4 out 5 stars because I feel they could update the looks.

I weigh 240 lbs. After a year of riding it was sticking a little. I called Gravity Dropper, and they rebuilt it for $24.00. To me that Great Value. The only con is my jealous buddy always telling me he doesn't need one. If I can get this rebuilt every year for $24.00, I will never ride without one. Believe me I'm constantly dropping and lowering it on my all mountaing riding trails.

EVERYONE NEEDS A GRAVITY DROPPER...If you want to ride better; get one! This is by far the best investment anyone can get for their ride. It instantly makes you a better rider. You will climb better with an uncompromised seat height. But that is not exciting...Drop the seat in milliseconds and you will rip corners and descend like a maniac! It is truly an amazing difference!

I have only used the Turbo twice since I purchased it. It was easy to install and adjust. It works well and was easy to learn how to use it. I'm impressed with its simplicity and that fact that its all mechanical.
